Casa Barilla a CENTRAL PARK

Una giornata di festa all'insegna della gioia di stare insieme

The summer of 2011 in New York was Summer of Italy.
Casa Barilla™ featured a myriad of interactive cooking classes,
food and culture workshops, children's activities and more!

Open to the public, and featuring some of today's most recognized experts in Italian food and culture, Casa Barilla™ honored Italy's rich cultural heritage and its delicious culinary traditions with a touch of history and an abundance of great tastes and experiences. Thousands of people have been inspired, with a newfound appreciation of Italian cuisine and armed with practical tips and suggestions to share the table, Italian style!

Guests had the opportunity to participate in interactive cooking classes with the Academia Barilla culinary team, focusing on the art and science of Italian cooking. In addition they had the opportunity to participate in Food & Culture Workshops featuring some of today's most recognized experts in Italian food and culture.

Mini Chefs explored the Piccolini Playground! Chefs-in-training learned the basics of pasta making and help roll out dough, used a manual pasta machine, and created traditional pasta shapes. Children were also able to visit the pasta craft station where they could make a variety of dried pasta art projects.

As part of Barilla's Summer of Italy, Barilla was the main sponsor of Andrea Bocelli
Live in Central Park, offering New Yorkers an evening of authentic Italian food and culture.

For the first time in Central Park concert history, Barilla has been the exclusive food provider for concert-goers, creating a cultural and culinary experience inspired by the cuisine of Italy.
